Tottori university central library provides services for users with visual, physical, or other disabilities who have difficulty using the library.
Equipment and services without special note are available to everyone on an as-needed basis.

Desk for wheelchair users

Central Library

A height-adjustable desk by remote control is located on the 1st floor near the Books for Faculty Members corner.
You can use it freely without any application or other procedures.

Medical Library

The desk for wheelchailr users is located on the 2nd floor.
You can use it freely without any application or other procedures.

Reading Magnifier

Central Library

We have prepared two types of reading magnifiers, stationary and portable, for magnifying and reading paper materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers.
　○Service Hours：　9:00～20 minutes before library closing

• The stationary type is located in the reading room 4 on the 2nd floor. Please feel free to use it.
• The portable type can be rented at the circulation counter. Please show your student ID, staff ID, or user card when borrowing the facility. And please return it to the counter 20 minutes before the library closes.

Medical Library

The stationary type is located on the 1st floor. Please ask at the circulation counter.

Electronic books

Tottori university subscribes and provides a number of eBooks.
In some electronic books, functions such as reading out the text, changing the font size, and reversing the background and text color of the page are available.

Large print books

Central Library

A large print book is a book printed in large type. The Large Print Books corner is located on the 1st floor.

Medical Library

Large print books held by the Central Library can be borrowed from the Medical Library. Please make a reservation of it.

Borrow Material from Tottori Prefectural Library

Students, faculty, and staff can borrow material from other public libraries and university libraries in Tottori Prefecture free of charge.
Tottori prefectural library has large print books, LL books(easy to read books), and DAISY books(Digital Accessible Information SYstem books) in its collection, which can also borrow.

* If you want to borrow some materials, such as recorded books, you need to register as a user at the Tottori prefectural library in advance.

Mina Search

Mina Search is a search service for disabled persons by the National Diet Library.
By using it, you can find out which libraries have Braille materials and large print books, and download and read audio materials and electronic books.
