To prevent the spread of a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Tottori University Central Library and Medical Library will change the following services from June 25 until further notice. Please note that these will be changed depending on the situation.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  1. Open hours (2020.9.23 Fix)
     It will be as follows until October 31.

  2. To prevent infection
     When visiting the library: Please refrain from visiting if you have cold symptoms such as coughing, fever, or strong dullness. Also, please refrain from talking in the library, wash your hands often, and keep a social distance with other users.
     When staying in the library: Please be sure to wear a mask and disinfect your hands with the alcohol installed at the library entrance or inside. If you don't wear a mask, you are not allowed to enter the library.
     Other: We oblige our staff at the counter wearing masks to prevent infection. In addition, we have installed the protective equipment on the counter to prevent splash infection.

  3. Use of seats
     Only Tottori University members can use some of the seats. But please refrain from using it for a long time (over about 2 hours). Depending on availability, seat use may be restricted. In addition, the doors and windows may be opened for ventilation.

  4. About the use of non-members (including students of Tottori University-affiliated Schools)

     It is possible to borrow and copy materials, but please refrain from using the seats. Therefore, those under the age of 18 (including high school students and children and students of the schools attached to Tottori University) are not allowed to enter.   All visitors except Tottori University members are currently unable to access Tottori University Library (Central Library and Medical Library) from July 4th, because a novel coronavirus-infected person was found in Tottori prefecture.(End time: undecided)

  5. The use of the Learning Commons (Central Library 1F) and Group Study Room (Central Library 1F/3F and Medical Library 3F) is suspended. Eating and drinking at the Browsing Corner (Medical Library 1F) is prohibited.

  6. Return deadline(2020.9.23 Partial revised)
     All library users do not have to return materials currently loaned from this library to July 31 (excluding magazines). However, those who are no longer enrolled in Tottori University or those whose user card has expired have to return them by June 30th. All library users do not have to return materials currently loaned from this library to October 7 (excluding magazines and materials loaned from other institutions). However, those who are no longer enrolled in Tottori University or those whose user card has expired have to return them by June 30th.And if another user makes a reservation or an order request, we will ask you to return them after a certain period. Please return the materials loaned from other institutions via this library on time. However, if it is difficult to return, please contact us.
    Loan period will be 2 weeks for students and 30 days for faculty and staff as usual from September 24th . To return materials, please use the always available return post (excluding audiovisual materials and other university library materials). Please let us know if it is difficult to return it. You can check the due date on MyLibrary.

      Central Library: Weekdays 8: 40-17: 00, Saturdays 9: 00-17: 00, closed on Sundays and holidays.

      Medical Library: Weekdays 8: 40-17: 00, closed on weekends and holidays.

    • Please take measures to prevent infection when you are visiting the library, such as washing your hands, wearing a mask, and disinfecting your hands with the alcohol installed at the library entrance.     Notice for visitors (Non-Tottori University Members)
    To prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus(COVID-19), all visitors except Tottori University members are currently unable to access Tottori University Library(Central Library and Medical Library).
    We apologize for any inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
    Please return materials you have finished using to the Book Post at the front of the Library.

    To prevent the spread of the New Coronavirus (COVID-19), As Tottori University will delay the start day of class, Tottori University Central Library and Medical Library will change some services such as the followings until April 22. Please note that these will be changed depending on the situation.

    • Regarding the library opening at night, the Central Library will start on April 22 (Wed), and the Medical Library will start on April 17 (Fri). The library opening schedule for April will also be changed, and some holidays will be closed. If the class start date is further delayed, the library opening schedule will be changed.

    • We make restrictions on admission of visitors (not the member of Tottori University, including students of Affiliated Schools) for the purpose other than the use of materials. Please refrain from using the reading seats or staying longer (more than 1 hour).
    • The use of the Learning Commons (Central Library 1F) and Group Study Room (Central Library 1F/3F and Medical Library 3F) is suspended. Eating and drinking at the Browsing Corner (Medical Library 3F) is prohibited.
    • You do not have to return books and materials currently loaned from this library to April 10 if you are a student or visitor. Please contact us if you are faculty, or it is difficult to return materials loaned from other institutions via this library.
    • Please take measures to prevent infection when you are visiting the library, such as washing your hands and wearing a mask. And please refrain from visiting if you have cold symptoms such as coughing or fever.
