Request a Book Purchase 【Available only for Undergraduate/Graduate Students】 

 Tottori University Library accepts a material purchase request from users.
 If you find a literature suitable for use by other library users as a library collection, please recommend it.



【Notes】
  • Every January, newspapers and magazines (or their equivalent), which require a subscription, are subject to review for the subscription renewal for the following fiscal year.
    Please note that it may take some time for us to give you feedback on whether to accept your request.
  • Please make sure to fill in an applicant’s name, affiliation (faculty/department), a student ID number, a reason for the request.
    (In the case of no applicant’s name and student ID number entered, we don’t accept any request.)
  • For us to accept as many requests as possible, the annual amount of purchase requests from the same person can’t exceed 50,000 yen.
  • The purchase of any expensive book is subject to examination.
  • Due to limited budgets, we may not be able to purchase every book requested.
  • If a book you request is held by public libraries in Tottori Prefecture, we may not purchase it.
  • Students also can request to purchase E-books.
    Separately, up to 50,000 yen per person's annual desired amount.

How to Request a Book Purchase


A. When you make a request from My Library on the Web.

  1. Click on “My Library” on the home page of Tottori University Library.
  2. Click on “Log in with TU-ID(鳥大IDでログイン).”
  3. Enter your TU-ID and password (an ID and password registered with the Academic Affairs Support System) and click on “Login(ログイン).”
  4. Click on “Other(その他)” in the “Request a Book Purchase(学生希望図書購入依頼)” column in the top frame.
  5. Click on “New Request(新規依頼).”
  6. Enter necessary information (a book name(書名), an author name(著者名), a publisher(出版者), a reason for your request(購入希望理由等), etc.)
  7. Once you enter the information, click on “Confirm the Entry(入力内容確認).”
  8. A confirmation display appears. Click on “Send a Request(入力内容確定).” Your request procedure is now completed.

B. When a request is made on the Web (By e-mail)


 Please send the following information to the e-mail address of the section in charge by e-mail. (Items with * are mandatory)

  • Applicant’s name(*)
  • Affiliation (faculty/department)
  • Student ID number(*)
  • E-mail address
  • Book name(*)
  • Author(*)
  • Publisher(*)
  • Year/Month of Publication
  • ISBN
  • Price
  • Reason for request(*)

C. When a request is made using the “Book Purchase Request Form(リクエスト図書等申込用紙)”

 Fill out the “Book Purchase Request Form(リクエスト図書等申し込み用紙)” available as below and put in in a post in the Library.
Central Library:Beside the Stationery Corner on the 1st floor, the OPAC corner on the 2nd floor.
Medical Library:Beside the Yonago City Library Collaboration Book Corner on the 1st floor.
