The presence of S100 protein-positive (S100+) lymphocytes in the peripheral T-lymhocytes and lymphoreticular tissues is well known. We have attempted to search retrospectively for a neoplastic counterpart of S100+ T-lymphocytes through reviewing a total number of 500 cases of distinct non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas by an immunohistochemical method. As the result, three cases of S100+ lymphomas were found. These three lymphomas were of variable histology, but the immunological characterization was identical, revealing T-cell markers and the presence of S100 protein.

Key words: immunohistochemistry; S100 protein; T-cell malignant lymphoma
