SciFinder 利用について

SciFinder User Guide

　SciFinder is an online search service in which researchers in need of scientific information centered on chemistry, such as medicine, pharmacy, biochemistry, physics, and engineering, etc., are supposed to use the service by themselves.
　If you use the Web version the first time, you are required to sign up as a user. 　Please sign up as a user from the user registration site according to “How to sign up as a user” as below.

  • Troubleshooting
    • A confirmation e-mail is not delivered→Isn’t is treated as a junk e-mail?
    • A confirmation window doesn’t appear.
      →There is a possibility that a line break is inserted halfway because a URL link is long.
      　Copy and paste the URL on the browser directly.
    • If you forgot your username and/or password

    【Notes】

    • The service is only available on-campus.
    • Downloading the search results of more than 5,000 hits is not permitted.
    • The service is suspended on Sundays from 11:00 to 14:00 (on the first Sunday of each month from 6:00 to 14:00).
    • Non-Tottori University users may not use the service.


    SciFinder Mobile


    SciFinder Mobile allows you to use SciFinder from your smartphone.
    Access URL：https://scifinder.cas.org/mobile

    • User registration with SciFinder is required in advance.
    • You can log in to SciFinder Mobile with a registered ID and password.
    • SciFinder Mobile can be used off-campus.
    • Bibliographic information/substance information can be displayed up to 100 hits per day.
    • Some functions, such as substance structures and reaction searches, are not available.

    　・Company Name (Company name search)
    　・Keep Me Posted Alerts (Browsing a reply to Keep Me Posted)

    　*Please note that currently, SciFinder Mobile doesn’t work on the iPad.
